Logan Horne, MSW, Intern

Logan Horne, MSW, Intern

Supervised by: Asra Solmes

Hi and welcome!

Sometimes asking for help is a hard hurdle to overcome, and the connection that we can create with others by asking for help is priceless. So, congrats on seeking out therapy!

My name is Logan and I am a student intern working towards my MSW, and eventually my LCSW, at Western Carolina University. I believe that we never stop learning, so whatever phase of life you’re in I’m here and committed to figuring it out with you!  I encourage my clients to show up authentically as I value doing the same. I value a person-centered and trauma-informed approach that brings empowerment and your unique needs to the center of your care. Together we can create a safe, judgment-free, and sustainable therapeutic environment!

I have experience working with children, teens, and young adults, as well as neurodiverse people across various settings. Before working at Asheville DBT and Trauma, I was a Behavior Technician with the Autism Society of North Carolina providing ABA therapy for children with autism and other developmental and psychiatric disorders.

When I’m not working with clients I love to be outside! Hiking, swimming, camping, sitting in the sun, whatever is available! I also have a BS in Environmental Biology from Appalachian State University, so nature is a big part of my life. But being inside and having a good book or TV show is just as fun!

Thank you for being here and beginning to show up for yourself! I’m super excited to continue my education and learn how to best show up for my clients.
