Life can be overwhelming and seeking support when navigating distressing periods of our lives
can be a challenge in itself. Throughout my clinical career, I have been committed to creating a
therapy environment with my clients where they feel safe in exploring and addressing their
goals. Whether you are experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety to encountering
interpersonal conflict or distress from society, you deserve to be supported throughout your
journey. In my clinical practice, I value a person-centered approach combined with evidence-
based treatments where my clients receive therapy specific to their needs, concerns, and goals.
I am passionate about providing gender affirming care to the LGBTQIA+ community and utilize
research supported treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Before beginning at Asheville DBT and Trauma, I worked as a therapist in community-based
mental health with adults of all ages who have experienced various forms of abuse, trauma
and/or were in foster care. I have provided psychological assessment in both community-based
mental health and at Western Carolina University to help clients identify the sources and factors
contributing to their mental health challenges. Regarding my education and training, I earned
my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Swansea University in the United Kingdom and
am currently a third-year doctoral student in the clinical psychology program at Western
Carolina University.
Regardless of the therapy modality used in session, I believe that meaningful and lasting
change occurs when the client and therapist work together in creating a therapeutic alliance. I
am honored to have this opportunity to learn more about you and to embark on the next step of
your journey together.
