Adah Baldwin, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, National Certified Counsellor

**Accepting new clients immediately**

**Accepts BCBS, Aetna, and Private Pay**

Life can be a roller coaster of highs and lows. One day, you may feel on top of the world, and the next, you may feel completely down in the dumps. These low moments can lead to feelings of isolation, affect your sense of self, and shift your perception of the world. It can be frustrating and exhausting to navigate on your own. While I don’t claim to have all the answers, I do know that you don’t have to face these challenges alone. My goal as your counselor is to help guide you toward a more balanced and holistic life. Together, we’ll work toward a path that allows you to feel more connected to yourself and others around you.

My approach is grounded in a relational, person-centered framework, while also integrating aspects of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other therapeutic modalities when appropriate for you. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective counseling. I also believe that you, as the client, are the expert on your own life. As your counselor, I will come alongside you, supporting you as you navigate difficult emotions and life’s ups and downs. I’m honored to be part of your journey, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings, confront past wounds, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. Together, we will work towards your goals and

help you build a more sustainable, fulfilling life.

I particularly enjoy working with teens and adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, and substance use challenges.

About Me:

I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from East Tennessee State University and my undergraduate degree in psychology from Austin Peay State University. I have gained valuable experience working at an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) facility, where I taught DBT skills to adolescents. Additionally, I have worked at a community mental health agency, providing therapy to individuals across the lifespan. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and partner, baking desserts, reading, hiking, and watching TV shows.
