**Accepting new clients **
Life can be stressful and an accumulation of stressful experiences can cause difficulties living a fulfilling life. When difficult situations arise it is natural for individuals avoid discomforting feelings by procrastinating, isolating themselves, and/or having interpersonal conflict. It can also feel like you're stuck and do not know where to start which is where having someone to talk to and create goals with can help.
I base my work from a holistic and strength-based standpoint, getting to know you as a person and your strengths first. My goal is to support client's goals and assist them in gaining control over their lives and experiences. Dealing with dysregulated emotions and traumatic experiences can lead to distressing situations within one's life afterwards. Although living a "perfect" life is impossible, it is my goal to help clients live a life that they are excited and hopeful about. You can then learn skills and different thought processes to handle the stressful situations that arise allowing you to build self-confidence to handle distressing situations in the future. I also work with clients who are wanting to increase their positive emotional experiences such as working towards goals, aspirations, and finding new hobbies and talents. I integrate elements from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
